Maps For Loners

In the Maps For Loners series I am interested in space as a layered, psychological component, a map of subjective experiences. I want to depict space that is in a permanent state of potentiality, that might seem fixed but that could at any moment shatter and reform.
I work in an unheirachical way, looking to different painting languages and languages outside of painting – such as engravings, jali screens and tapestries – to feed into the process of making.
